Dillard Robbins has placed a telephone in his house. Lillie Hall spent the past week with her brother, Sam Hall. Maude and George Vest went to Scottsburg Monday. Several from here attended the Immanuel at Jerman Sunday. John Abbott, of Michigan, is visiting his father, Mathias Abbott. Frank Hall and family visited his mother, Mrs. Sarah Hall, Sunday. The little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hall is recovering from an attack of pneumonia.
New Providence Community
Sunday school is still progressing. Those who attended the Whittinghill party report a fine time. Several from here attended church at Wooster Sunday night. Several from here attended the street fair at Scottsburg last week. B. Osborne and family, of Austin, visited Lodema Payne Sunday. C. L. Reynolds and family and Chas. Seaver and wife spent Sunday at O. Baldwin’s. Mother’s Day will be observed next Sunday with appropriate services. All are invited.

Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Cravens, of Salem, are the proud parents of a daughter, brought them by the stork last week.

High School Commencement
The Baccalaureate address to the Senior class of the Scottsburg High School will be given by Rev. C.H. Pinnick at the M. E. church Sunday evening, May 10, 1914, at 7:30.
The Commencement address will be delivered by Dr. Horace Ellis, president of Vincennes University, at the High School Auditorium, Tuesday evening, May 12 at 8 o'clock. Public is invited to attend. Admission at commencement exercises: Adults, 25 cents. Children 15 cents. W. L. Morrison, Supt.
